This past month, I wrapped a 6-episode webseries titled #LifeCoach. Brave New Workshop alum, James Roop, and I collaborated on the idea of people giving horrible advice in professional or social settings and watching it go down in flames.
So, I called on a few talented actor friends from around the Twin Cities, and went to work. The experience of filming with friends is probably the most fun I’ve had on a set, but also the biggest challenge. There’s an ease to directing people you know, the improvisation and riffing off the script went better than I could have imagined, however the challenge comes in getting everyone in the same lane and avoiding the distraction of chit chatting too much.
In the end, we completed our first season of #LifeCoach, and created a fair amount of quality content for everyone to cut a portion for their reel! Yay resumes!
